Job description

The Coordinator assists and provides administrative support for the MPI Consulting business unit, helping to deliver on MPI’s mission to deliver innovative and impactful client outcomes, build and nurture relationships and provide exceptional service. The role is integral to the seamless execution of daily activities, strategic initiatives and special projects within MPI Consulting, as well as the support and delivery of industry partnerships, including the scheduling of deliverables, activation of partner benefits and collection of success metrics. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with exceptional organizational and project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provides administrative support for MPI Consulting and MPI industry partnerships, managing calendars and meetings, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications. Drafts, proofreads and distributes correspondence, reports and presentations as needed. (20%)

  2. Manages projects using MPI’s technology platforms and assists in the planning, execution and monitoring of consulting projects and MPI industry partnerships. Tracks project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful completion. (20%)

  3. Tracks financials for consulting projects and programs and monitors budgets and costs to ensure program-related expenses are accurately managed. Submits invoices and tracks payments to ensure financial consistency and visibility. (10%)

  4. Maintains accurate records and databases related to consulting activities and partner relationships. Ensures data integrity and accessibility for reporting and analysis. (10%)

  5. Manages client relationships by responding to inquiries, coordinating meetings and ensuring satisfaction. Works closely with other team members and departments to facilitate collaboration and achieve organizational goals. (20%)

  6. Assists during live consulting sessions and facilitation, including preparing materials, setting up technology and equipment, managing participant interactions and ensuring smooth execution. Takes detailed notes, provides real-time support, troubleshoots issues and coordinates follow-up actions to ensure client satisfaction and project continuity. (20%)

Salary Range: $44,500 - $52,000 Annually.

Travel Required: Less than 15% annually

Job requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • One or more years’ experience in project management, training or development a plus.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications or a related field a plus, but not required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Writes logical and grammatically correct routine business correspondence and is able to edit and proofread documents.

  • Can prioritize simultaneous projects to complete work in a timely manner.

  • Negotiates and resolves conflicts with diplomacy among team members and clients.

  • Shares information and seeks to share learning with teams across departments, functions, partners, clients and districts or regions.

  • Problem-solves with the ability to thrive within a goal-oriented team environment.

  • Has proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Copilot.

  • Demonstrates comprehensive project management skills to define and meet project milestones, communicate issues and risks in a timely manner and escalates when necessary.
